Fixing Office 2007

From Stephen's advice[1]:

Office Button > Word Options

Under the 'Add-ins' section check the list of add-ins and see of there are any third party add-ins installed (specifically Non-Microsoft add-ins)

  • The only 'active' add-in I have is an Outlook Smart Tag add-in
  • Inactive add-ins I have are ActionsPane, Custom XML Data, Financial Symbol Smart Tags, Headers/Footers/Watermarks, Hidden Text, Measurement Converter, Microsoft Actions Pane and Time Smart Tag
  • Document Related Add-ins are blank
  • Disabled Application Add-ins are Blank

At the bottom of this same window pane is a 'Manage - COM Add-ins' where third party add-ins can be installed, click go on that and see if any 3rd party COM add-ins are installed.

Now go back to the 'Resources' section and a button 'Diagnose' is there to run MSO Diagnostics, click that and check your results.
