Western Australia Daylight Savings
In a similar
vain vein to the earlier issues this year with adjustments to the end of daylight savings time due to the Commonwealth Games. Western Australia are now facing a similar issue with the trial of Daylight Savings commencing the 3rd of December 2006 through 2009, Michael Kleef has been hard at work keeping to keep people informed on what's happening and the implications regarding Microsoft's software applications.
Microsoft have updated their Australian Timezone website to list the products that need updating and the links for the associated patches (at least the ones available at the moment).

The pedant in me cannot resist:
It is "vein" not "vain". Bleeding Edge has certain standards that must be maintained. We don't want to read disinterested where uninterested is intended. Or prevaricate where the meaning is vacillate. Or of Her Majesty's rain when what is meant is reign. Nor do we want to read to pedal for "to sell" or even to peddle for "to ride a bike".

My bad, must get better grammer checker so I can be learned better. [wink]
The corrected text was picked up by the search engines as "In a similar vain vein" which I thought was utterly appropriate, as I had some customers who ran into problems with the Commonwealth Games timezone change, and I expect this sudden decision by the WA government has IT folks all over the state screaming in anguish...

Apple are aware of this issue. Meanwhile you geeks out there can get a comprehensive fix via this source for time zone and daylight saving time data.
