New GYM Services
Just a quick post with some of the latest GYM products...
Google Picasa Web Albums allowing you to store 250Mb of images and most likely looking to compete against Yahoo's Flickr
Yahoo7 Fuel Maps are using their mapping service to map the local price of fuel so you can find the cheapest price in your area. The range and number of servo's listed is a little limited at this time though it has quickly become a great reference in only a week of knowing about it.
Windows Live Writer is part of the Windows Live product line and this one has come as a little surprise to the blogging community overnight. It is a WYSIWYG blog authoring.tool and available for download now.

Have just tried Windows Live Writer for posting to a blog. It is very good. Takes the tedium out of making new entries. The Movable Type edit panel is really awful -- with Live Writer you simply bypass it. And it's free! What is Mr G thinking of? Has he made enough money already not to care?

Windows Live Writer continues to receive great support from the majority of the blogging community as can be seen on TechMeme. There are already a few plug-ins been built for WLR. The first is Flickr4Writer allowing you to easily add Flickr images to your posts. Secondly, Tag4Writer lets you add tags for common tagging services such as Del.icio.us, Flickr, Icerocket, Technorati or customise it for any tagging service you use. Third is a 'Currently Listening' plug-in that adds the Song/Track name that you are currently listening to in iTunes or WMP. The list of current add-ins can be found on the WLW blog here.
