Get your Vista beta ... today!
It looks like Microsoft might meet the latest delayed deadline for Vista, what with the fact that it's finally released the public beta of the new operating system. Well, most of what's left of it, anyway. It looks like you're going to have to wait for PC-to-PC synchronisation, due to "quality concerns", which we think translates to "It doesn't work properly". Still, there's 3GB of other stuff to download, so you might want to check your traffic stats before you get too enthusiastic. [And if you're using Optusnet, Big Pond, aaNet, Exetel or AAPT, gto-pontiac has a helpful suggestion for you, over in the Forum.]
Still, according to Stephen, Vista actually does work pretty well, and he's preparing a series of posts for this blog that you might find an invaluable guide. The first one should be up Real Soon Now.

How do we get an activation key? I downloaded and tried installing and was stopped at the Enter Activation Key screen.
