Google Notebook goes live
That Google Notebook feature we mentioned has been released. And although the download site suggests that it might not work with OS X, it does. Well, at least it does with Firefox for the Mac.
We're not sure quite what to make of it yet - and we're particularly undecided about the ability to make one's Notebook public - but it does seem to have some useful features. For instance, every time you select some text from a Website and save it to your Notebook, it automatically includes the Web address.

It's not bad although the Shelf tool in Flock does much the same with drag and drop functionality.

Evolving app (public search is not available at this time) - eh, a long way from a web version of generic note makers like InfoSelect, Ecco Pro, Evernote, OneNote, NeoMem, Treepad. There've been other desktop web clipping apps before - they've all stored on the PC (which made them less useful - one inevitably lost their data as one went along). Making notes public is explicit and changes the screen colour of that note - many other web apps offer that - it's not new or scary. It's just one more way to publish
Would be nice to define custom workgroups so that you could share to select people - that's typical as well.
Google - all your data belong to me - she belong to me - I didn't even read the Terms and Conditions

Haha... So True...
I am not sure what Mike was thinking at Techcrunch when he said it was a del.icio.us competitor though.
I will stick with OneNote the Office Power Application :)

Looking at your notebook Ananda, It 'appears' that after you cut and paste 100 notes to your notebook that is one very long page to be scrolling.
Are you able to add things such as a Table of Contents or link directly to a particular note?
