Speeding Thunderbird
JH has passed on a fix that will speed up the transfer of large attachments with Thunderbird. All it needs is an entry in the user.js file, which no doubt some readers have been searching for. They should read this.

I recommend you test the fix a bit before you fully endorse it. I tried it, but it resulted in large attachments not loading fully, and there seemed to be no way within Thunderbird to reload an incomplete attachment.
